Social Activities and Community Engagement
At Blackbird Leys Bowls Club, we host a variety of activities, outside of the lawn and short-mat carpet bowls, including darts, bingo and regular entertainment throughout the year. Our club is a place to meet new people, socialise, and enjoy a friendly atmosphere all year round. Members can take part in a range of social events, and our well-stocked bar and clubhouse provide a comfortable setting to relax after a game.
Competitive and Friendly Matches
Our mixed teams play throughout the season, with matches held on Saturdays and Sundays. Practice sessions and friendly games take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays, offering opportunities for all members to participate. We actively encourage new members to take part in our mixed fixture games, though participation is not mandatory.
Coaching and Player Development
The club also provides FREE coaching sessions every Thursday evening at 6pm, ensuring beginners receive the guidance they need to enjoy and improve their game. With a strong competitive spirit, we have developed a team of skilled players who take part in various competitions and tournaments.
